The UNIQUE TALENTS AND ARTS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (UTADA)
UTADA is a union that is open to membership for the following:
Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA), Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KESSPA), Association of Film Producing Educational Institutions of Kenya (AFPEIK), Kenya Music Festival, Any individuals or associations that promote sports and performing arts.
Purpose
UTADA purposes to render the following objectives:
a) Seek and provide support for the practical training of members in teaching the competency-based curriculum through skill facilitation, space and necessary equipment.
b) Engage with like-minded communities is partnering in furthering a common agenda rooted in promotion of research in sports and performing arts.
c) Acquire assets and construct a base that will promote the objectives of the member associations in establishing a state of the art International Headquarter.
d) To organize and co-ordinate sports, music, film and theatre activities both at the national and international levels.
e) To expose members to national, regional and international sports and festivals.
f) Find ways of supporting productive projects of member associations financially.
g) Identify and promote talent in sports, music, film and theatre through a common front as agreed by member associations from time to time.
h) To be an educational resource for Kenya and the international community of researchers and scholars in sports and performing arts by building and managing a library and cultural resource centre. i) To encourage counties to establish branches within the republic of Kenya to promote and manage the teaching and promotion sports, music, film and theatre.
j) Provide local and international linkages among the member associations and partners.
k) To conduct research on sports and performing arts and disseminate findings through conferences, journals and magazines.
l) Interrogate possibilities of promoting talent academies of member associations.
m) Interrogate and execute the marketing of Kenyan talent in sports, music, film and theatre.
n) Provide accreditation for member practitioners in sports, music, film and theatre.
